National Institute of Fashion Technology
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducts NIFT entrance exam in order to shortlist aspirants for admission in design programmes offered by it. Considered to be a pioneer in fashion education, NIFT has its headquarters in New Delhi. Apart from this city, NIFT has domestic centres at Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Shillong and Raebareli. NIFT Entrance Exam is being held on January 21, 2018. Candidates who are taking NIFT Entrance Exam 2018 in order to secure admission in any of the courses (Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Fashion Technology, Master of Design, Master of Fashion Technology or Master of Fashion Management) on offer at NIFT need to give GAT (General Ability Test).
While on one hand, admission in BFTech, MFTech as well as MFM courses is entirely dependent on a candidate’s performance in GAT, on the other, aspirants seeking admission in BDes and MDes need to also appear for a Creative Ability Test (CAT).
NIFT Entrance Exam Syllabus 2018
NIFT entrance exam comprises of Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Aspirants who clear these tests are shortlisted to appear for the Situation Test as well as Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.
